turns out my 20 days of the 30 day photo challenge was challenge enough for me.

so we took a little family vacation to nags head north carolina. it just wouldn't be summer if i didn't get some carolina sand between my toes.

i watched the waves roll in

 took alot of pictures

 met a pirate....no gimmicks!

and watched the sunset from the nags head fishing pier

then got evacuated over Irene, came home and got evacuated again!
we were lucky...just a bunch of limbs and mess in the yard. which forced us to clean up, and it's never looked better!

visiting my great grandparents at their unique place on the york river and playing dress up in her scarves and fancy linens while catching minnows on their pier, with little sista
